Lemmon

Lemmon was one of several African Americans enslaved by Westbury's Rev. John Trumbull. When Trumbull died in 1787, he bequeathed Lemmon to his widow, Sarah Whitman Trumbull. Sarah Trumbull moved to West Hartford shortly afterwards and may have taken Lemmon with her.
