Grigg

Grigg was one of several African Americans enslaved by Westbury's Rev. John Trumbull. During the Revolutionary War, Grigg served as a private in the army. He was hired into the Continental Army in the 12th Company Tenth Regiment of Militia on September 9th, 1777 by Rev. Trumbull. Grigg died July 1, 1779 in Watertown.
