Jack

Jack was an African American man enslaved by Westbury's Lieutenant Thomas Richards. When Richards died in 1760, Jack was inherited by Richards' daughter, Susanna Nettleton. Susanna may have given Jack to her brother Benjamin: a man named Jack, enslaved by Benjamin Richards, died on September 21, 1771.
